Scripture:
“Break up your unplowed ground, for it is time to seek the Lord…”
— Hosea 10:12 (NIV)
Doctrinal Insight:
A thriving life in Christ needs constant soul-maintenance.
Repentance, confession, and renewal are not just one-time acts — they’re part of daily abiding.
Just like any garden, if the soil is left unattended, weeds will grow:
– Compromise
– Bitterness
– Secret sin
– Hardened hearts
These things choke the fruit and must be uprooted.
Filipino Cultural Connection:
Tayong mga Pilipino ay mahilig sa malinis na bakuran — nililinis natin ang mga damo sa harap ng bahay, kahit araw-araw.
Pero sa ating espiritwal na puso, minsan pinababayaan nating tubuan ng mga damo:
- Inggit
- Tampuhan
- Pride
- Kasalanan, katamaran, galit, at iba pa.
Kailangan ding linisin ang “hardin ng puso.”
Kung naglilinis tayo ng paligid natin, bakit hindi rin natin gawin sa loob natin?
Devotional Thought:
Repentance is not a sign of failure — it’s a sign of life.
We don’t repent to earn God’s love — we repent because we are loved.
Ang pagtutuwid ng Diyos ay hindi para ipahiya ka — kundi para ibalik ka sa ayos.
Let God pull the weeds. Let Him break the hard ground. Restoration starts with repentance.
Reflect:
- May “damo” ba sa puso ko na matagal ko nang hinahayaan — kasalanan, pride, unforgiveness?
- Ano ang katotohanang ginagamit ng Diyos ngayon para muling palambutin ang puso ko?
Prayer:
Panginoon, linisin Mo ang puso ko. Huwag Mong hayaang tumigas o mapuno ng damo.
Tanggalin Mo ang anumang sagabal sa relasyon ko sa Iyo.
Itama Mo ako at ihanay muli sa Iyong kalooban.
