Protected but Pressed — God Covers His Servants

Written by Pastor Rey Trinidad, based on the testimony of Luzviminda Delos Santos

📖 Scripture:

“The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.” — Psalm 34:7 (NIV)
“Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.” — 1 Peter 4:12

🙏 Devotional Reflection:

Just days after we declared in church to keep the fire burning even under pressure, one of our faithful leaders experienced this truth firsthand.

My associate pastor’s wife—who leads our Wednesday prayer meetings and faithfully serves as a doctor’s secretary—was involved in a car accident. A large sand truck veered dangerously close and smashed her side mirror while she was driving.

Shockingly, the driver didn’t even stop to check on her.
But because of God’s presence and wisdom, she didn’t panic. She remained calm, kept driving, and followed the truck—persistently pressing her horn until a police patrol came to assist along the way.

She could have been seriously injured.
But God protected her. No scratches. No bruises. Just peace—and courage under pressure.

This is the same woman who prays for the sick at work, encourages the hopeless in the clinic, and intercedes for our church behind the scenes.

The enemy hates that.
And no matter how “on fire” you are for the Lord, he will always try to sneak in.
He looks for every opportunity to plant fear, cause disruption, or weaken your faith.

But here’s the beautiful truth that Luzviminda Delos Santos reminded us of through her testimony:

Even when storms, struggles, or shakings hit our lives, the hand of the Lord is always there—reaching out, ready to embrace us and comfort us through every kind of storm.

Yes, the enemy tries to make us fearful and discouraged.
But he fails—again and again—because God’s covering never lifts from His faithful ones.
And He never allows the fire within us to be extinguished.

🔥 Faith Reminder:

If you’re under attack, it’s not by accident.
You’re likely carrying something powerful.
Don’t let the pressure push you out of your purpose.

🙌 Declaration Prayer:

“Lord, thank You for watching over those who obey You. Thank You for sparing the life of our sister and for protecting those who serve You—even in hidden places. Strengthen her again as she continues to pray for the sick, lead in our church, and walk in Your calling.

We declare that no weapon formed against her—or any of us—will prosper. The fire You started, Lord, will not die.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

📌 To the prayer warrior, the quiet servant, the obedient leader—God sees you. And He covers you.
