Devotional for the 5-Day Devotional Journey: “Welcoming the King”
Theme: A Humble King
Scripture: Matthew 21:6–7
Version: NIV
📖 Scripture:
“The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on.”
— Matthew 21:6-7 (NIV)
✨ Devotional Reflection:
Jesus could have entered Jerusalem with power and splendour—on a horse, with soldiers, with loud celebration. But instead, He chose to ride a donkey, a symbol of peace and humility.
Jesus didn’t come to be served — He came to serve.
He didn’t come to show off but to lay down His life.
He didn’t enter with pride — He entered with purpose.
We are invited today to follow our King — a King who kneels to wash feet… not just raise hands to rule.
🙏 Reflection Questions:
- Paano ako tinatawag ni Lord to walk in humility today?
Choose humility. Choose to serve — just like Jesus.
🙌 Prayer:
Panginoong Jesus,
Help me to serve others without expecting anything in return — hindi para mapansin, kundi para maparangalan Ka.
Amen.
